None of us can say what alien species are like. Maybe they’re even worse than us. Imagine that.
At some point I would like human society to get to a point that it wouldn't be profoundly embarrassing to explain to an advanced alien species.

Maybe doable now? We're a species that's evolved a dynamic, fractious scrum-style system of social/tech evolution that's left "natural" selection in the dust (although of course it is still "natural"). It'll always be noisy, inequitable, always with a precipice feel. So far so..¿
