People who have the answers have failed to understand the questions.
A lot of people say philosophy is useless, and they'll give various reasons, but it's really just because they think they already have it all solved. They don't.

Yes, I've noticed those who go out of their way to tell me they've NO USE for philo are just the ones talking about concepts of evidence, inference, arg, in mish-mashed, inconsistent & ultra naive ways. And they're in charge of evidence policy "reforms" in journals and agencies.

But I also fault philosophers of science for neglecting their promise (since post-positivist 80s &90s) to be relevant to conceptual/logical/epistemological problems in scientific practice (w/ rare exceptions).
