Don't worry because you can never reach 280 characters. First you need to type half: 140. Then half of the remainder. 70. Then.. etc.
What I hate most about 280 characters is that in a few years I will probably become accustomed to it. Averaging 240 characters a tweet. The memory of shorter tweets only a shadow. I'll think back and wonder how I ever fit anything into 140 characters. I hate what I will become.

You wasted so much of my time with those extra words. You should consider being more terse. Verbosity is getting out of control on Twitter now. Even the president is fallen victim to this lame trap. But now that we have so many characters we can never go back to one hundred forty
