active* violence. The constant passive violence against the weak and underprivileged in society is not only accepted but encouraged.

There is no passive violence. It's always aggressive, it always has intent to intimate & oppress through harm. Words, deeds, neglect, etc.

Not sure you're the richest in history. But the US system seems to be about grabbing as much as possible, disregarding others.

That seems pretty much the same as most large empires in history. Not much human development there.
