Popularity (i.e. movies made) is exactly what you're plotting; this screams intentional distortion. Post full data set or look like a shill.
I would expect the numbers to favor men anyway, but having you not include romance makes me suspicious they don't...
Uh why not - what is your point then? Popularity of movie genres presumably plays a huge part in these quotas.
that seems wildly unscientific and a fairly weak argument for removing a large data point that doesn't suit your narrative.
the other way to look at that is that romance movies getting popular means movies with a woman as one of two leads getting popular
