Not to mention their constant shift to the right as time goes by.
So called "centrists" say they're reasonable compromisers between extremes, but they are really just aggressive defenders of existing power.

Interested to hear you qualify this statement. Confused about the recent trend against centrism. Seems to come exclusively from the left.

Centrists tend not to recognize that the status quo can be violent because that violence takes the form of, e.g., abusive prison systems.

Pure centrism doesn't exist anyway you split the political spectrum; and today "center" is already far right compared to the "left" side
