Ironically, the first people excluded are the poor working class, since they don't have the time to keep up with every "correct" position.
I swear some leftists intentionally alienate as many people as possible, because the smaller the "in" group is, the more smug they can be.

I think a problem of ultra niche social circles we have today (forums, etc) is we end up otherizing people closer to us.
