It's ironic when ancaps defend landlords & self proclaimed "capitalists" do the same, in the Wealth of Nations, Smith considered society to be made up of 3 principle classes, workers, capitalists and landlords. He considered the former 2 as creators of wealth, the latter a leech.

Showing how orthodox economics share your opinion about landlords ignores the fact that this is a political (political economics if you will) issue which cannot be explained away. e.g. economists have always known monopolies are not cool, but we still have them.
