You don't owe patronage ro Democrats or Republicans any more than you owe Wendy's or McDonald's a drive through visit. It's their job to supply a product that draws consumers, just as it's the parties' job to win voters. There's no moral expectation beyond that.

Except the moral obligation that the decisions you make directly impact the lives and deaths of many, many human beings. That level of responsibility innately holds moral weight.

The best healthcare systems exist in capitalist countries. Venezula is gonna face the coronavirus crisis with 90% of it's hospitals having electricity shortages and most having no water. You socialists don't actually care about the poor, you just hate the rich.

How the rest of a country's economy is structured is irrevelant: the best healthcare systems exist in countries with universal, socialized medicine.

"a few points" If I recall, when they looked into the cost of a single-payer healthcare plan, it would cost the state of California $500 billion annually, when the state only makes a little over $200 billion. That's a bit more than "a few points".

California had a gsp of over 3 trillion in 2019
