all these landlords acting like they are going to go bankrupt from missing one month of rent lol. aren't all ya'll supposed to have money set aside for unexpected repairs and stuff? isn't that supposedly the whole point of you?

Rent payments in cities are overwhelmingly based on land value. Without landlords, who would provide the land?
-
Landlords don't provide land, they restrict access to it.

I was landlord but I sold the house cause it was a lot of work and little gain, and then I found out the tenant was using it as an AirBNB while pretending to be my broker. I had entrusted him to sell the house so he that could get a commission and manage showings comfortably...

Apparently people don’t respect you for being a good person who takes their needs into account, and I just didn’t want to deal with being some kind of hard ass, so I just decided to exit the business and sold at a loss, because I wasted time on him being a fake broker.

Rent has never gone down once in my almost 20 years of renting.

The issue is duration. I either give you $660 of the $720 I owe you now, or nothing for 30 days. If this ends up going into the second month, then I will either give you a net of $1320 or a net of $0. When the mortgage freeze lifts, will you have $1320 to pay me to cover it?

*will I have $1320 to pay you
