With mutating viruses Capitalism hasn't because it's number one goal is profit. We need to abolish Capitalism and look for a system that isn't destroying our planet and values human needs over profit and that system is socialism

It's not like COVID-19 is gonna go away either way. Even if curves a flattened and infections retreat in the summer and a vaccine is found, it'll still add to the flu seasons at the very least for years to come. And large scale spread of novel viruses like these happen regulary.

Not even trying to be a doomer here, but that is just a new reality we have to accept and unless people in power start to realize that this can happen all the time, anytime, the current situation might one day be permanent

Also, consumers are what drives capitalism, not corporations. If a massive amount of your consumers magically disappear (you know, from dying) your economy is going to take a massive hit no matter what you do. The only way to save the economy is to freeze it until this is over.
