Who cares if 1% of the US populace dies that's only 3 million people out of 300 million. Think of the precious stock markets damn it!! If now wasn't the time time to bring out the guillotines I don't know when it is.

But humans are only 0.5% of the global biomass. Say 20% of humans die, or 1.5 billion people. Is it really worth shutting down the global economy for 0.1% of global biomass? We must balance our priorities!
