By Jan 22nd China had 17 deaths, they quarantined all of greater Wuhan, and invited WHO to give a report. By March 7th America had 19 deaths, and Andrew Yang tweeted out "The fear of the coronavirus is likely to be as or more destructive than the virus itself" Shut the fuck up.https://twitter.com/AndrewYang/status/1242135352405565441 …

Yang is a damn charlatan and I'm glad he's being called it. Evidenced best by his endorsement of Biden on the grounds of being offered a cabinet role. He's a self serving opportunist who dropped his convictions on the first chance.

Also, his UBI project doesn't really help those struggling with medical debt student loan debt it's fairly useless on a practical level and is often used as a means of gutting social welfare programs. However in terms of crisis emergency UBI by the state would be necessary.

I mean, he's still being consistent that the economic destruction from fearing the virus (and thus shutting down/quarantining) etc. could be as bad as the direct impact of the virus itself. Stating that doesn't downplay the virus itself....

We're now seeing reports about the economic impact of how we reacted, weeks after a variety of people raised the alarm. There's plenty of blame to go around.

Jesus, it didn't take very long for
@AndrewYang to be corrupted by the system. All it took was Biden promising him a cabinet position.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Wasnt downplaying it. Have you seen the economy? We are worried about a depression now.... Not a recession. This could have long lasting economic impacts the likes of which many won't recover.
