more about decreasing production than consumption. capitalism is based on high production of commodities, the people are just overwhelmed with them
This crisis has inadvertently revealed the real solution to climate change that no one wants to discuss. It isn't a "New Green Deal", it isn't energy efficient technology, and it isn't green energy. It is a massive decrease in consumption by the wealthy nations.

Not all people consume resources equally. Some consume far, far more than others. Yet oddly enough, few people ever advocate population control anywhere outside the Global South, even though it's the Global North that is overwhelmingly responsible for unsustainable consumption.
