I mean, we'll probably do what we always do, and most of us will vote against the GOP, correctly assessing them as a serious threat that could kill us all. But it would be nice if we could oppose the GOP with someone other than the guy who said we need the GOP.

I'm not happy about it either, but at least Biden won't be a direct message to the GOP that there are literally no consequences for anything. Trump is awful, but imagine the next Trump when he knows he could get away with literal murder if Fox says so.

This is the problem I have with, "ANYONE but..." mentality. It's what gave the US Trump and the UK Johnson to start with, and neither have hit rock bottom yet. (That recent honour probably goes to Brazil with Bolsonaro).

I don't agree with this Medicare For All litmus test people have adopted. Medicare For All is not the only way to get universal coverage. Medicare for All is a means to an end, but its not the ends itself. Universal healthcare needs to be the goal, not this one specific program.
