Before the primary, I said somewhat jokingly that a winning platform would be "I will be a competent, average, boring President. I will rarely be in the news. There will be weeks you don't think about national politics." And it DOES sound nice. I understand the appeal.

We're all so tired. I definitely want progress, but I would like it if that progress didn't dominate every single news cycle.

Possibly true. What is even more important though, is whether the perception of “having the option to ignore politics” means explicitly leaving others to literally die.

I don’t think there’s any evidence that Sanders is doing better than Biden with working class voters. The divide has been younger vs older voters.

The real take: Biden won the black vote by 70 points in Mississippi. Black people in Mississippi have the lowest life expectancy & the highest infant mortality rate in the USA.
