They’ve been attacking and defunding education for 40 years. They want us to be just clever enough to operate the machinery and keep our noses out of politics until elections roll around, at which point they want us to be susceptible to their propaganda. QED.
Conservative: we base our opinions on facts and reason, not feelings! Socialist: oh good, so we should educate the population as much as possible? Conservative: actually education is a conspiracy that tricks people into becoming leftists, you should learn as little as possible.
