It's rather shocking to see how many financially secure liberal feminists simply don't consider things like Universal Healthcare to be a feminist issue, because they themselves can't really imagine, say, having to choose between leaving an abusive husband and having healthcare.

Some people can only see feminism as "obstacles that prevent women from social climbing", because to them life itself is nothing but social climbing. Policies that liberate poor working women are meaningless to them because it won't affect them, but are far more important.

Yes, because it's impossible to imagine that a large % of people covered by a spouse's policy might actually be happy with his or her life/spouse. And giving away healthcare at a $50 trillion taxpayer expense just so it MIGHT have the effect of making divorce easier is asinine

women shouldn’t be reliant on a husband to have healthcare why is this so hard for u

I wonder what percentage of those women are working where insurance is offered. Typically divorce is seen as a life event, and you can pick up health insurance in the middle of the year, like when getting married or having a baby. Not to say we don't need universal health care.
