I know some Warren supporters that are voting tactically for Sanders tomorrow. Not going to dismiss that at all.
The only reason not to "vote tactically" is if you are so privileged that politics is nothing more than a game to you, or if you think votes are somehow a metaphysical representation of your inner virtue, rather than something that is added up to reach a result. Both are absurd.

It’s going to be interesting to see how much or little she drops due to people voting like that. I think those Warren supporters feel the establishment forced their hand from a more moderate, perfectly appropriate candidate.

No need to vote tactically if you live in Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden and every other country that uses a grown up voting system. Current abominations in the US and UK are as much about an archaic voting system.

Same ethics: Centrists who say they'll stay home if Bernie gets the nom, & the Bernie supporters who say they'll stay home if he doesn't, have the same moral view as Fundies. In their view, they're doing their moral duty. Consequences don't matter to deontological ethics.

People have different tactics they're trying to use, though. Being uncompromising is a tactic. I may be a petulant child but not everyone you disagree with is.

I think tactical voting is for people who don't really care about democracy and can call themselves "right" for voting for a lesser evil. Vote with your heart, for someone that represents you most. Until the day we all vote for who we want, our governments will never change.
