A lot of people replying to this tweet complaining that some labor might be more valuable than other labor. Uh...okay? The point is obviously that an enormous amount of wealth is generated without labor at all. Market fundamentalists never seem want to argue that point directly.https://twitter.com/existentialcoms/status/1232754343150936064 …

This is why I favor an NHS in Merika, not "just" single payer.

Focus your point. 1. The rich's money grows with interest, while the poor are fined for having too little. 2. Investment firms and stock speculators don't provide any labour yet make the most profit.

Because of the risk the hospital owner takes on! What if you die, because you insurance won't cover life saving treatment, and then there's no one to cover the expenses for your end of life care? That eats into the board's yacht xmas party fund!

Wages are never enough to buy the goods produced. Hence debt mirroring profits. The few accumulating wealth thru property don’t buy the remaining goods but encourage workers to use their credit to do so.

I started investing in grad school. Nothing has made me more of a communist than magically making money with no work on my part, and paying less taxes on it than my labor. It's also really weird that unions haven't used stock purchasing as a takeover strategy.
