As Rom said in Star Trek DS9 when Dr. Bashir suggested he start a union, "You don't understand. Ferengi workers don't want to stop the exploitation; we want to find a way to become the exploiters!"

Quit and go work for another abusive employer. I'm 33 and I've seen things change in my lifetime. Working conditions were never this bad. There is a glut of labor and employers know it, they are treating everyone like absolute shit now unless they're rare enough to walk away.

Going from toxic workplace to toxic workplace took a huge toll on my moms mental health. At first i thought bad luck, after enough places you realize it's toxic and abusive everywhere.

Not just that, the process to form a union has gotten more difficult. The employer has every advantage. NLRB people are more pro business community than they were in the past.

I work for a school district and I almost die when I found out the "union" is a position elected by the employer. They hire people to be "the union", then charge you for joining.

Please, running away from abusive power hoping for a better life somewhere else is basically the story of every american’s ancestors (well, or, you know, being kidnapped and sent across the ocean to be sold as a slave for those ancestors)
