Wellllllll, historically cowboys were tough guys who worked hard. I like the history, but not the stereotype of a cowboy that we have today. That's a fake romantic view. Thank you, Hollywood.

Interesting thing though, people who are not particularly historically literate think that the stereotypical cowboys are cool. And people who know the inaccuracies in that stereotype think that vaqueros are cool.
