Meh, the generation that came of age in the late 60's/early 70's had the best music. A lot of it was still popular in the Reagan Era (my formative years).

When I was a kid my father watched Lawrence Welk and called the Beatles music “crap.” That’s when I swore I would never get caught in that trap. I still enjoy music from my younger days but I listen to and enjoy new music too.
