Half a million Iraqis died in the Iraq War. A million Iranians might die if we went to war with Iran. If this isn't at the top of your political analysis, I don't know what to say to you.
It's clear that to the Republicans, and the centrist "reasonable" Democrats, it simple doesn't matter how many Iranians die. It doesn't enter into the equation. The only questions are American lives, dollars spent, legality, geopolitics, etc. Iranians literally don't matter.
Pay attention when these people talk about why the Iraq War was a mistake. Is it because we killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis? Or is it because we could have "better spent that money elsewhere", or it was a "strategic mistake", or some other nonsense. It was a crime.
Exactly. These people only care about how it affects them personally. Imperialists routinely dehumanize their victims to the extent that they don’t even enter the conversation.
Don't forget that time we shot shot down an Iranian passenger jet, killing 290 people, and just kind of shrugged it off.

I think USA should stay in its zone. Take all its guarded properties back to US and protect them from there. We are tired of colonialism and whatever modern name the word has
