"Ice beer", for those who don't know, is when you freeze beer and remove some of the ice, to end up with a higher alcohol content. It was invented by the Canadians, because they were annoyed that it was taking upwards of 20 minutes to shotgun enough beers to get plastered.

Belgian beer is generally speaking delicious, it should be savoured, and I would definitely think less of someone chugging a St. Bernardus.

This somehow reminds me of my friend who, while at a conference in Dublin, Ireland, was annoyed because "you can't get drunk on Guinness". Well they do have another famous brand that gets you drunk pretty quickly.
