The argument is typically: "WELL YOU CAN'T FORCE PEOPLE TO MAKE FOOD FOR YOU." and to which I say: Sure, but if the US is throwing away around 50% all their food as the norm, maybe people who need it could benefit from it instead of being a ghoul.

Imagine thinking that something specific which we exchange voluntarily is somehow a "human right". Almost like it's an arbitrary term that has no value in moral philosophy anymore. But, I digress.

It’s almost like rights are arbitrary decided and we decide the moral value of people depending on what they consider to be a right. For example, I personally have a low opinion of the morals of those who consider financial profit a bigger right than food is. But, I digress.
