We, South Americans, believe that barbecue is any meat in a stick in a bonfire.
half of America thinks "barbecue" means "anything cooked outside" and the other half thinks if it isn't prepared in the precise style of their own zipcode it doesn't count as "real barbecue". i believe these two groups will remain forever divided.
