What's most incredibly about Joshua Brown being executed by the police for testifying against one of them is that all the white liberals in my timeline who go berserk about gun control any time there is a shooting are mysteriously silent.
The explanation is simple: white liberals are far more afraid of random violence than systematic violence. Random violence makes them feel unsafe, systematic violence makes them feel safe, because they know systematic violence is used on their behalf, not against them.
This is why you never hear them talk about disarming the police, demilitarizing, or dismantling the systems that oppress the most vulnerable members of society. The most they will ever do is politely ask the oppressive power structures to behave better. This has no effect.
The police are never subject to gun control, and even the liberals get this, subconsciously.
