People who blame mass shootings on mental illness always seem to use the shooting itself to diagnose them as mentally ill, meaning that it is definitionally true that they are. This kind of tautology explains nothing, least of all shootings with clear ideologies behind them.

Mental illness argument is only applied to non-muslim perpetrators. As kind of a scapegoat to defend the perfect nature of our western society that we all have to keep believing in.

they also don't ever bother to name a diagnosable illness, it's just them saying "but you'd have to be CRAZY to shoot people like that!"
