Why does any discussion of communism ignore the fact that previous attempts have involved an extremely centralized government with low accountability which honestly just creates an easy to abuse system?
The Communists are considered bad because they failed in carrying out their ideal of ending inequality. The Nazis are considered bad because they succeeded in carrying out their ideal of ending the Jews. "Centrists" today will have us believe these two things are the same.

Perhaps because both systems have historically relied on brutal authoritarian regimes that have no problem on disregarding the freedom and wellbeing of their own citizens in favor of the state So is easy to understand why the "CeNTriStS" would put both groups on the same basket.
