Nietzsche described the "last man" as the most contemptible of all people, who live only for pleasure, who believe technology can invent happiness, while hiding their bitter resentment that they've become incapable of any act of self-creation. Today we'd just call them "gamers".

To me, this sounds like anyone who has a smart phone, which, in turn, would mean that the vast majority of the developed world is comprised of "last men." Sounds about right, actually.
