I have come to the conclusion that Capitalism is a religion, with money/capital as its god (a.k.a. Mammon). Like the pagan gods of old, Mammon requires sacrifice. The victims of these decisions *are* that sacrifice.
-
Capitalism is a religious practice with market ideology and exchange metaphysics of value as its intrinsic parts.

Fun fact: the US is the only country that doesn’t regulate drug prices. Consequently, we are the only significant market in which most investors can make their money back. If we regulate, production of new and novel drugs will decline —> other countries should deregulate.
-
Then let the profit based drug industry end. It doesn't invent new drugs, it doesn't even refine old drugs, it profiteers on what should be provided freely
