The solution to uneducated voters isn't restricting voting with some kind of test, it is educating the entire population with free college for all. How is this even a debate.

Anyone who wants less democracy in order to make a "better democracy" really has no interest in democracy at all. They want a ruling class to make the decisions.

Countries with free college for all in Europe are still drifting towards right populism. I agree that providing free college is a good idea. However, this will not make everyone reasonable and invulnerable to despotism.

To be perfectly honest, with the rise of social media and its affect on people's opinions and all kinds of extremist groups I for one won't even try to cheat myself about democracy anymore. Some form of meritocracy would probably work better.
