Some people who are conservatives are very much into the idea of meritocracy... that's why they don't understand why everyone can't just drop everything, go to school, then be making $100k a year.

But to make it fair meritocracy everyone should start with the exact same resources and parents wouldn't be able to pass their wealth to their kids. So basically socialism.

By the way, that reminds me the whole disgorging-provoking Rand's novel Atlas Shrugged, where all they characters are amazingly intelligent, hard-working and also hot, and, by doing this, the inequality's been justified. What a shallow argument and what shameless liberalists!
