If Civ 5 taught me anything Philosophy is the only way to build a National College, and that's 50% more science output from the city it's built in, ergo philosophy is required for healthy science output

That Falsifiability itself is not "falsifiable" should be demonstration enough the epistemology of science cannot coherently be a totalizing system of knowledge.

The two aren’t mutually exclusive. A lot of philosophical queries are only solved via individual, empirical experimentation through a series of life events. We can be logical about how we conclude our emotional thinking
