I think he's resentful that his brand of radicalism isn't cutting edge any more and on course to spend the rest of his life in a ginormous sulk.
What I love about Zizek is that he built his entire career off being a contrarian hot take artist, and yet people just can't seem to believe it every time he comes out with a new contrarian hot take.
