Greetings from the anarchic hellhole of Norway, where convicts can vote and not even the police get to carry guns :)

Even the Boston bomber?
-
what if there's a pro Boston bombing candidate who is tied with an anti-Boston-bombing candidate, who do you think the Boston bomber is going to vote for? Do you really want to live in that country where the Boston bomber decides that race?
-
this reply has to be a joke
-
You won't be laughing when the Boston bomber casts the deciding vote on a ballot initiative to free all prisoners
-
a) prison abolition is 100% the way to go b) your belief that elections are or can be decided by one vote is...are you literally 12 or just making an obtuse joke?
-
boston bomber sympathizers are out in force here
-
wild that these guys want the boston bomber to pick the next president

I'm thinking if there are enough convicts to form a significant voting bloc, you might have other issues.
-
There are in some locales. And it is 'other issues'.https://twitter.com/lhfang/status/1120792576011816960 …

If we did allow prisoners the chance to vote (which I favor) we'd have to do something to make sure prisons aren't such a great place for vote-rigging. Or of pressuring prisoners to vote a certain way.
-
They already are a place of vote-rigging since convicts cannot vote yet they are counted as part of the population for the district they are incarcerated in (rather than their previous address) so it provides rural areas with over-representation
-
So, would it help the cause if people started ranting about how those slackers are shirking their duty to vote by hiding in a jail cell. I've gritted my teeth and voted every time, and it's a slap in the face they're allowed to not vote? Get Rush on it.

In grown up countries you can lose your voting rights for very specific crimes (like treason or falsifying an election), but otherwise prisons have very high turnout.
-
Here in freedomland we like to make it as hard and as inconvenient as possible to register to vote, vote or have healthcare and education while simultaneously making it easy to get guns..We are big brain freedomland smart.pic.twitter.com/rozUxMQ0C7

Convicts surrender their rights. That's what *prison* is: the loss of rights. We can certainly debate about how many, and how long, relative to the crime. As for your ejaculation about landlords, well it's just stupid, of course.

1. How do you know this person doesn’t own stock? Many people do. 2. From the fact that a person doesn’t directly benefit from a system X, does it follow that their belief that X is the best system is false?

Ah yes, me, a holder of 0.001383% of YumFoods, dictates the way the conglomerates operates and produces so as to get my lovely yearly dividend of $20.

Glad to see we’re on the same page.
