If we ever encounter an advanced alien species I hope they also have big controversies over their video games no longer sexualizing one of their genders quite as much as they used to, just so we don't look like total fucking weirdos in front of the whole Galaxy.

See, I just don't even agree with this line of discussion about Mortal Kombat. Having "more realistic" models doesn't mean "less sexualizing". MK11 is a TOTAL Beefcake and Cheesecake fest. That has not changed. Also the "application of realism" has been to BOTH genders.
