This is a great underestimation of poetry. I’m guessing you haven’t read any decent poets, because poetry can go much deeper than philosophy (I have a masters in philosophy so talking from experience)

Funny, but in reality literature and poetry get to the point faster and more meaningful than philosophy. As a philosophy major I learned more from both.
