Almost as though people who know how to make money understand economics....
Phrases rich people have paid billions to get repeated: "Tax cuts to the rich will boost the economy." "Unions cause more harm than good." "Socialism is good in theory but bad in practice." It's almost like they just want more money and power.

It is very telling that that last one, about socialism being good in practice, starts to be quickly rolled back to "socialism is morally bad" once people see that capitalism ain't great in practice either. "Equality of ootcome is evil", and the like.

It’s no different than hoarding. That additional dollar that they’ll stop at nothing to get their hands on has no more utility to them than the 1000th newspaper has to the hoarder. It’s dangerous for that much power to be in the hands of people who behave so irrationally.
