American Conservatives have wielded power over the last several decades to dramatically change the nation. When Obama came in the only progressive thing he did was the ACA. Even that was a compromise. And he had a supermajority for a while.

...and finds value in the act of deciding upon reasons for inaction. (Although tbf while I understand reasons for defining *liberals* as I just have, I still feel in my bones it's a meaningless word these days. A cloak at most, a slur at least.)

Liberals are just people who believe in political rights but not economic rights save for the "right" to private property and all their weirdness and fetishization of clever excuses for inaction derive from the profound incoherence of that belief system
