It would work even if the model doesn’t have any pockets to pat... she could make the “OMG I forgot to put my pants!” face.
if i were a runway model, my signature move would be to get to the end of the runway, then pat my pockets and look puzzled like i forget something, so i would have a plausible excuse to turn around and walk right back where i had just come from

Do you mean a 'catwalk' model? A runway is what aeroplanes take off from. I suppose an airport could host a big fashion festival with models parading on the runway.

You could pat where your pockets are supposed to be, realize you HAVE NO POCKETS (ok, I’m assuming even male clothing in fashion shows doesn’t include usable pockets), look horrified, and sprint backstage, pulling off clothing as you go.... no?
