He wrote esoteric knowledge few can comprehend; he's not for average people or even any contemporary intellectuals. He's beyond them, for an enlightened, superior humanity. Our humanity is deepy ignorant; still in the dark ages in terms of objective knowledge/ethics.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Nietzsche. The humor is extremely subtle and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over the typical viewer's head.
