That statement would only make sense if education were neutral, which it isn't. The first thing the new people in power do in any situation is begin indoctrination of the young in support of the status quo and call it education.

I would argue education is neutral. It's who's in power that really matters. Their will is what is carried out. Education is a vehicle. It can be used as a boon or a hinderance.

*re-educate, you mean. And the banning from history of any books & media suddenly found out of step with the latest mandatory norms is a trademark of the Left

Well when those books call the civil war something like “The war between the states” and the first page of the chapter covering the 60s as “Trouble ahead” I think ridding ourselves of them is warranted

Because the USSR didn't ban any books and literacy in Portugal didn't double under Salazar. I mean I prefer Leftists to Right wingers but...existential comics is just like an unending fountain of falsehoods when it comes to history

But don’t you think the leftists often try to inculcate a particular ideology to the citizens? Usually, this ideology revolves around a messianic personality and tends to foster a groupthink mentality. Plus, more often than not leftists regimes turn into organised oligarchies.
