People who think Latin is the language of magic believe that magic is organized, institutional, rule oriented, and human. It is learned from a regular school by memorizing magic formulas. This is misguided – magic speaks the language of the river, not the language of the Romans.

The language of the river is Old Irish, by the way. Little known fact but all rivers are Irish.

Well all public transport definitely leads to Dublin. You can barely get from Limerick to Galway without going there first.

Southern Europe getting stripped of its coolness once more because people can't get over a moldy archipelago off the north-western coast of continental Europe

Linear A is the language of magic. I have discovered a truly marvelous proof of this, which 240 characters is too few to contain.

That makes sense. Underground rivers must be the leprechaun's.

“The river” is actually a copyist’s error. [For metrical reasons I won’t go into here] it ought to read “Three Rivers”: a reference to the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. So clearly the language of magic is #Sanskrit: organized, institutional, and rule oriented, but divine.
