And then wishing one of us had all the fish and that we all worked for him for a .01% share of his fish.
The weirdest thing that capitalism puts into our heads is that we want more jobs. Imagine living on a desert island and figuring out how to lay a net that caught fish with no effort, and then getting sad for the people who used to spend all day fishing. It makes no sense.

It does kind of make sense actually. Expending no effort would be nice at first, but eventually it would be horribly boring. We find meaning through applying ourselves to transform our conditions.

It's because of the magical thinking people have about money. What is it? Where does it come from? Capitalists create it so we have to accomodate them so they'll create jobs and we can get some of it. No jobs, no money.
