Having the "correct" political opinion can't make you a good person, because politics fundamentally isn't about who you are. Politics is about how we come together and form society. If you want to be a good person, you have to actually do it.

Most people (erroneously) see politics as something far from their daily life and outside their scope. So bad people can have good politics and vice versa, because they separate it from their personal life.
