I mean fiduciary responsibility means they're legally obligated to put money first. So it seems odd people would disagree with that.

I am under the impression that this has been somewhat overstated, and that there is not a legal obligation to put profit absolutely first. I don’t mean that profit isn’t sought very hard, sometimes in ways that are harmful and could be avoided.
