One way misogyny operates is that women are expected to want to look younger all the time. Thirty year old women are told that they should want to look twenty. In other words, they should want to look less experienced, knowledgeable, worldly, and serious.

I dunno: we live at a time when there are more women over 50 who are praised for looking damn good at their age: Halle Berry, J-Lo, Jennifer Aniston, etc., etc. Nothing wrong with looking the best you can.
