Dude, I hate the U.S's imperialist policies as much as anyone but if you still think Russia's involvement in the U.S election was just buying FB ads at this point, IDK what to tell you. Not even a liberal either.
I'm certain that the liberals who have been completely obsessed for the last two years about Russia buying some Facebook ads will be equally passionate in calling for an investigation into the CIA to see what they've been up to in Venezuela.

From what I can tell they controlled information flows and also fed targeted misinformation like Cambridge Analytica did for Brexit. 100 percent illegal, but that's what it was.

I think the main thing liberals are obsessing over is Russia breaking into the DNC, DCCC, and Podesta's servers, mass exfiltrating data from them, and using those to swing the elections to Trump & others, with a strong appearance of coordination with the Trump campaign in this.

They should be equally concerned about HRC -podesta & DNC’s manipulation of a tax payer funded primary and pressuring media to slant its coverage
